MFA in Acting with a General Concentration
The Master of Fine Arts in Acting is a full two-year professional training program with the singular purpose of preparing actors to excel in a competitive marketplace. You will learn the time-tested techniques and the latest trends in contemporary actor training within the context of a faith-based curriculum. Through the General concentration, you will be stretched and mentored through a rigorous, professional actor training program rooted in technique and hands-on experience.
- Receive in-depth training in the Meisner Technique, stage fighting and screen acting.
- Explore principles of auditioning, such as cold reading and improvisation, and navigating the business of acting, from headshots and resumes to interviewing and finding interim jobs on your path to professional acting.
- Perform a major role in a Mainstage production during one of your final two semesters in residence.
