The Master of Public Administration with a concentration in Emergency Management & Homeland Security is offered on campus and online through the Robertson School of Government to students called to serve in leadership careers in public service. Through case studies, service-learning opportunities and best-practice public administration analysis, you will increase your knowledge of how to enhance the safety and security of our nation — all through the lens of a Christian worldview. The emergency management and homeland security area is one of the fastest growing employment fields.
- Explore the role of the various U.S. intelligence agencies in assessing foreign and domestic terror threats, developing effective counterterrorism strategies and thwarting terrorist aggression.
- Examine present-day U.S. domestic and external responses to terrorism and trends in modern terrorism, and how to counter such activity.
- Understand policies and procedures to mitigate, prevent and respond to disaster, regimes for safety and risk reduction, the ethics of care and compassion, and mechanisms for measuring threat and recovery.
