The Bachelor of Science in Mathematics with a concentration in Secondary Mathematics Education, offered on campus, could be your first step to a fulfilling career teaching math to middle school or high school students. You can become licensed in the Commonwealth of Virginia to teach math in grades 7-12. Through coursework for your bachelor’s degree in math education, you will strengthen your skills in math theory and practical application. You will also learn about child and adolescent development, classroom management, technology used by educators and curriculum fundamentals — all taught from a Christian perspective.
