Part-Time Juris Doctor (JD) Program
The Part-Time Juris Doctor (JD) degree, offered exclusively on campus, gives you the option of taking courses during the day or evenings. The part-time program is a flexible education option for professionals who wish to remain employed while they study law part-time. You will complete the same rigorous program as full-time students and learn from the same law professors, but because part-time students take fewer hours each semester compared to full-time students, you have increased flexibility to select courses that fit within your personal and professional schedules. Part-time law school students will generally be able to earn their JD in four to five calendar years.
- Enroll in a minimum of 8 credit hours and a maximum of 12 credit hours per semester.
- Focus on legal analysis, writing, and problem solving.
- Explore classic texts in history, philosophy, and theology, and gain an appreciation of the biblical foundations of the law and legal institutions of the United States.
Upon completion of all program requirements and passing of the bar examination, accelerated Juris Doctor program graduates are eligible for positions involving administrative law/regulated industries, constitution and public law, corporate and commercial law, family law, health law, intellectual property, international law, legal theory and history, legal history, litigation, property/real estate, taxation, wills, and trusts.
